miscellaneous happenings

Originally, this blog was intended for my Family, friends and sorority sisters. It's purpose was to give general updates about my travels abroad, and it still is particularly informal. I probably will not update it as frequently as I did before, but I may post a few random musings on my life... I just like blogging. suppose I'm hooked. :)

the final countdown.

Tuesday held our final Art class. We turned in our portfolios and Professor Shankshaft lectured on King’s College Chapel. All the girls went out for lunch to get tapas at a little Spanish restaurant downtown. It was the beginning of the bittersweet ends. I went to Trinity College with Andrea, had a teary moment in the market, and went back to the house in the evening to study for Professor Murphy’s final exam.

On Wednesday, we all took Murphy’s oral exam, and then Katie, Dani and I went to Grantchester: where Rupert Brooke went swimming. At our last common meal together at Prof Farmer’s house, we met a few English students who are planning to come to Valpo in the spring. Their names where Silvio and Augusta. In the evening, a few of us went out with Kristen and Kyrie. They still had a few weeks to enjoy in Cambridge, and it was sad to say goodbye.

Thursday was the big cleaning day. Everyone pitched in, and we got the job done before afternoon tea. Emily and I decided to take pictures of the route we took when we went on runs. It was around dusk. We quietly walked through the nature reserve, enjoying the final rays of sun. Oddly, that ‘goodbye’ was harder than expected. sheesh. When we got back, Harry Potter was on TV in the living room, and a bunch of us were packing for the Lake District trip.
